"Silent Night" was written by an Austrian priest Joseph Mohr, and the music composed by Franz Gruber. Popular story has it that the organ at the St.Nicholas Church had broken down, and so this music was composed to be played on a guitar. This Christmas song was translated from German (Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht) to English by John Young.
